"The
FOD*BOSS is a nice piece of equipment and it lives up to the
name of Rapid Response. We get military helicopters that come
in and it cleans up. I make a few passes and it saves work
after a helicopter landing. The FOD*BOSS is easy to set up
and use. It's a one man operation that saves time."
Sky Sarosi,
Silver Springs Airport, Nevada
"We tested
The FOD BOSS on Friday. This thing is unreal! Picks up everything."
Barksdale AFB, Louisiana
"We've
got our 2 FOD BOSS units on-line and sweeping just about every
day. They work great."
Boeing C-17 Program—Long Beach
"The first time we
used the FOD BOSS we swept a total of seventeen miles and picked
up one hundred sixty four pounds of debris on our asphalt ramp.
The next time, we used it right after a FOD walk by about fifty
people. It took them right around forty five minutes total
time to get out there, do the FOD walk, and then get back to
work. That's just about thirty-seven man-hours. The exact same
area was then swept by one guy pulling the FOD BOSS. It took
him about one hour. The people picked up around five pounds
of FOD. The FOD BOSS picked up forty-four pounds of FOD. That's
close to ten times the amount of debris in one-twentieth the
man-hours."

"By my reckoning, with
more turbine traffic using many of California's General Aviation
airports, inexpensive and easily done FOD clean up and control
at the G.A. airports is an important "customer service" activity. Who
wants to use an airport where their expensive turbine engine lunched
on bolts, screws, and nuts that routinely fall of off aircraft."
"Keep on keeping on, Tim. FOD BOSS is a necessary airport management
tool."
R. Austin Wiswell,
Chief, Division of Aeronautics,
Department of Transportation,
State of California (2000-2005)
"We had a contractor
remove our painted lines from the ramp to get ready for a repaint.
There was a miscommunication and they used steel shot for the
blasting without telling us, and we ended up with BB's everywhere.
We had our vacuum trucks go over it three or four times and
they couldn't pick it up. So we sent the FOD BOSS over there,
and it did a great job. We were able to get everything off
the surface with the FOD BOSS. We also found the FOD BOSS got
a bunch of other stuff we didn't see out there at the same
time it was picking up BB's. We were very impressed and have
recommended each of our deployed squadrons get a FOD BOSS."
Naval Air Station,—Patuxent River, MD
"The FOD BOSS demonstrations
went very well on Friday. A total of three were held. All individuals
who observed this product agreed that it would play a key role
in keeping the facilities clean and FOD free. The commercial
group (facilities & production) expressed interest in at
least 3 of these units (1 west side, 2 east side). Military
also has interest in this product. Attached are some pictures
of the product after it was used on the west ramp... very impressive!"

"We have been using
the FOD BOSS for almost a year now. Four months since I took
over this position and I must say that it works extremely
well for us. I keep all metal and hard plastic FOD after
every area is swept and bag and tag it. It has given me a
good history of where we need to concentrate our efforts.
Also it impresses our pilots and will be used as support
to procure more FOD BOSSes in the future."
Eglin AFB, Florida
"Our FOD BOSS arrived
just prior to Christmas and what a Christmas present it was.
We are delighted with it. See the attached photos of the
first time we used it. This was done after a FOD walk had
been performed, all of this had been missed."
Oregon Air National Guard
"We
have three powered sweepers. They sit parked more than we
use them now that we have a FOD*BOSS duplex version sweeper."
Airfield Manager
USAF Soto Cano Air Base

"We have already purchased two
FOD BOSS. We use them every week at our Base and we
carry one with us every time we deploy! They work GREAT!"
FOD Program Manager
South Carolina Air Natl. Guard
"We
have been using the FOD BOSS at the Los Alamitos Army Airfield
for over two years, it is a great piece of equipment."
